Welcome to Fenway Labradors
We have been breeding Labradors for over 40 years. Fenway Labradors are based in Lancashire, England.
To quote the late Mary Roslin-Williams, owner of the famous Mansergh Labradors and one of the great doyennes of the breed in the UK…..
“A Labrador should look like nothing other than a Labrador”
We are experienced in all aspects of export and shipping to ensure the utmost care and welfare of our dogs in transit across the world.
All our dogs undergo full health screening for hips, elbows, eyes – including DNA testing for PRA (Optigen) and Centro Nuclear Myopathy.
We have achieved a reputation, both in the UK and abroad, for producing good looking, working Labradors and hope that this web-site will provide you with an insight into the ethos of Fenway Labradors and our passion for this wonderful breed.
“Training the Working Labrador – The Complete Guide to Management and Training” by Jeremy Hunt.
This best-selling book not only covers Jeremy Hunt’s successful approach to every aspect of training but also focuses on the importance of the correct care and management of the working Labrador.
The book provides advice and guidance on a host of practical feeding, management and training matters based on the author’s lifelong experience and chapters are included on nutrition and care.
Essential reading for the first time owner/trainer of a Labrador but equally an important update on Labrador issues for the experienced owner.
The Fenway kennel traces its foundation back to some of the very best of the UK’s most influential working Labrador bloodlines.
The breeding policy at Fenway working Labradors has always been to combine natural working ability with true Labrador “type” – something to which we remain totally committed.
A working Labrador MUST look like a Labrador and have the natural ability to be effective in the shooting field.
In pursuit of these ideals we are meticulous in planning the breeding programme of our working Labradors.
